The Sisters of Compassion came into being in Jerusalem, NZ in 1892 when the Māori people invited Suzanne Aubert to the small settlement.
The church and convent have held a special place in New Zealand's history since that time. Now you can stay at the Old Convent, rest your weary legs and explore the rich history of the Hiruhārama/Jerusalem area.
